We are looking for a Head of Faculty for a bilingual school in Hangzhou. This position is available from the upcoming 2026/27 academic year in August 2026.

This premium bilingual day and boarding school in Hangzhou offers a through-train education from Kindergarten to Grade 12 for students aged 3–18, with a Lower School, Upper School, and Kindergarten on one modern campus. About the role
As the Head of Faculty, you will lead efforts to secure high-quality teaching and improved student achievement across the Upper School. You will model best practices, develop effective learning strategies, and oversee resources. By continuously monitoring and evaluating all faculty work, you will address emergent issues and ensure every Upper School student is supported throughout their learning journey.
- Uphold the school's vision, ethos, and high professional standards. - Lead faculty teaching and learning to maximize student achievement and progress. - Foster a positive, purposeful, and professional school culture. - Champion student safeguarding and welfare. - Develop, implement, and evaluate high-quality curricula and assessment practices. - Use data strategically to inform teaching, set targets, and implement student interventions. - Train, mentor, and manage faculty staff, including performance appraisal. - Manage faculty resources, staffing, and administrative tasks efficiently. - Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and external bodies. - Undertake additional duties as required by the Senior Leadership Team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; UK QTS or equivalent postgraduate teaching qualification preferred - Working knowledge of the Chinese National Curriculum, IGCSE, and A-Levels is essential - Minimum two years’ teaching experience and evidence of team leadership - Previous experience of working with students for whom English is not their first language
