We are looking for a Deputy Head of Senior School for an international school in Hangzhou. This is a full-time position starting from the upcoming academic year in August 2024. Job responsibilities - Uphold and represent the mission and values of the institution, focusing on inclusivity, international perspectives, and academic achievement - Collaboratively develop and implement the Senior School's vision and development strategy with the leadership team - Lead the Subject Coordinators in guiding the academic direction of the Senior School - Perform professional tasks as assigned by the Head of Senior School - Provide dynamic academic leadership, fostering an environment where students of varying abilities can thrive and achieve their full potential - Serve as an effective and engaging spokesperson for the school, communicating effectively with diverse external groups and parents - Work with the Head of School and School Improvement Leader to direct the Professional Learning Community within the Senior School - Assist in reviewing and enhancing the quality of teaching and learning in the Senior School - Aid in the admission process for new Senior School students - Commit to the successful execution of the Senior School Development Plan and specific targets - Encourage faculty and parent participation in a broad range of school activities - Coordinate with the Examinations Officer for the organization of internal and external exams - Maintain a safe and clean learning environment, including adherence to hygiene standards Requirements - Valid Teacher and Administration Certification/License/Documentation - Master’s Degree, preferably in Administration - A minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching and administration is preferred - Proven track record of successful leadership, organizational, and management abilities - Professional dedication to the effective execution of an enriched international curriculum Salary and benefits - Highly competitive monthly salary commensurate with experience and qualifications - Housing allowance - Summer and winter holidays - National public holidays - Annual return airfare for employee and dependents - Medical insurance for employee and dependents - Full tuition support for employees with school-age children
